Let’s dive in as we look at upcoming titles that promise to keep us on the edge of our seats.

Quantum Error

Brace yourself for a horrifying cosmic journey into uncharted territory as Team Kill Media invites you to delve into the depths of a space station’s darkest secrets! In this mind-bending, cinematic, story-driven shooter, you’ll shift between first-person and third-person perspectives as you explore the enigmatic Monad facility and venture into the uncharted territories of interstellar travel. Along the way, you’ll face foes and bosses that range from the eerily familiar to the unknown

An electrifying blend of horror and science fiction will keep you glued to the controller as the story unfolds. Quantum Error will be coming to PS5 on November 3, but you can gain early access on October 31.

Stray Souls

In this thrilling adventure game by Jukai Studio, we follow Daniel as he explores his estranged grandmother’s mysterious home and the strange town of Aspen Falls. As you explore Aspen Falls, you’ll uncover a sinister secret tied to Daniel’s birth, and your choices in branching dialogues will shape the story. You’ll have to battle nightmarish creatures, solve tricky puzzles—and experience randomized elements for a unique playthrough every time.

Slay the Princess

Imagine this: You’re in a forest, and a cabin stands at the end of a path. Inside, a Princess resides in the basement, and your mission is to slay her, for the world’s fate hangs in the balance.

But hold on! The Princess won’t surrender without a fight. She’ll try every trick in the book—charming, deceiving, and making grand promises—to divert you, even making multiple attempts on your life. The world’s destiny is your responsibility, and that’s not something to forget.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. A narrator tags along on your journey, and you can engage in playful banter with him if you keep asking questions before confronting the Princess. This intriguing dynamic emerged as I played the demo on Steam. It’s an enticing story with an uncertain trust factor that had me eagerly anticipating the entire game.

Black Tabby Games has just launched the game, and is now available on Steam.

Alan Wake 2

We’re diving back into the eerie world of ‘Alan Wake’ with the much-anticipated sequel, a survival horror game by Remedy Entertainment and Epic Games Publishing. In Alan Wake 2, best-selling novelist Alan Wake struggles to escape an alternate dimension by crafting a horror story involving FBI agent Saga Anderson. It’s set to release on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on October 27, 2023. Unlike the original, this game is pure survival horror, played from a third-person perspective. You can play as Alan or Saga in two separate stories, though the opening and ending sequences are character-specific. For fans like me, it’s an exciting continuation of a story that gave me more than a few nightmares!

Alone in the Dark

Another nostalgic trip down horror lane! THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive are treating us to something truly special—reimagining the classic ‘Alone in the Dark.’ It’s like a love letter to the good old days, transporting us to the creepy, gothic American South. And here’s the twist: you can take on the role of either Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood. Your mission? Explore creepy surroundings, battle all terrifying monsters, tackle brain-teasing puzzles and unearth hair-raising secrets tucked away in the foreboding Derceto Manor.

Here’s the thrilling part: I recently had the chance to dive into the ‘Alone in the Dark Prologue,’ a sneak peek of what’s to come for the upcoming game Alone in the Dark. Hold onto your hats because this one’s a rollercoaster! Play as Grace, tasked with a seemingly simple mission: delivering a letter to his niece, Emily Hartwood. It’s an intense journey filled with jump scares that had me screaming in fear!

Make a date with terror, my friends! ‘Alone in the Dark’ is set to release on January 16, 2024, and you can join the fright fest on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

From cosmic horrors to dark mysteries, these games have something for everyone. These upcoming titles promise to immerse us in suspenseful and terrifying experiences that will keep us glued to our screens.

Whether you crave heart-pounding action or enjoy mind-bending puzzles, these horror games have it all. Whether grabbing your controllers or settling in front of your keyboards, it’s time to dim the lights. Are you prepared to face your fears?
